After we took our lunch, we went straight to Virgin Island. (Named so because no one stays here for good). Here, we were welcomed by powder-like sand. The sand was really fine that you would enjoy walking along the shore barefooted.

loving the white fine sand |
Though the sun was really high, it didn't prevent us from enjoying our stay in the island. There were also lots of tourists in the area - locals and foreigners. (And some honeymooners! lol) You might want to try the sea urchin which the Boholanos are selling in bottles. (Best when cooked with scrambled egg)
We enjoyed strolling around the island. It's a small island that you can survey its perimeter by feet. Palm trees cover the whole place with lots of unusual shrubs too.

heat, sand, beach- perfect! |

sandbar in Virgin Island |
What makes the place special is its sandbar. During low tide, a long stretch of sand is revealed. It was high tide though when we went there. We didn't get to see much of the sand bar- a knee-high water was covering it..but you'd still love the place.

Margining the sandbar are seaweeds that grow up to at least 15 inches ( I think lol). Boats are only allowed to dock at one certain area in the island. (the rest is "undockable" hehehhee) Seaweed might get into the propellers and stuck the boat in one place. Plus, the water is shallow.

Shallow and very pristine water |
I was in awe when we were able to go around the area. Palm trees and shrubs were covering the area and adding beauty to the place. Such a lovely place!
Surely, I would come back.
I want to go in Bohol next summer!
