Meet up with Bohol's Prony, Python and Butterflies

Time to meet Bohol's tame and not so tame animals! lol
We had our next stop at Largest Python in captivity area. Just at the entrance, you would see vendors selling ube, peanut kisses and other pasalubong stuff.

sleeping python

At first, the place was a little boring because the python was sleeping and it should not be disturbed and the caretaker was out so no one would dare to open its cage. Pfffff...So what were we waiting for? We could just have left the place and moved to our next destination - but we didn't.
A "lady" in red was just sitting outside the python's cage. I was wondering what she was doing there. We were taking pictures of the animals and for no reason I invited her to have pictures with us. "She" was really hesitant and snobbish at first. Ok fine. But my group was really game. We had a little chit chat with "her". We learned that her name was Prony.

Hesitant and snobbish Prony hehehe

Soon enough, Prony felt a sudden energy pump (perhaps she liked us) that she herself toured us around the place with laughs and giggles. (She really has so many stories to tell.) All the while we were thinking that it was just a simple tour until she asked us if we wanted to see her perform. Perform? Yeah, perform as in sing and dance! Of course, the answer was yes!

Prony offered us a long wooden bleacher where we could lie our butts on while she was doing her "performance". She turned on the player and the party started! We were really bursting into laughters while she was doing her stunts - tumbling, clinging to bamboo bars and imitating Michael V! (There is really a resemblance between them.) A lot of tourists were really amused at what she was doing! She used to perform in comedy bars in Manila and other cities according to her short life story :))
Show girl Prony

Loser! hehehe

For me, the main attraction of the place is not the python but Prony, the performer.
When Kuya Dodong informed us that the next destination would be a Butterfly Garden - it sounded like my brain was telling me "not again!" (I think I am overexposed to butterfly havens and gardens since I am a Science teacher.)
But this one was so different. It was the best butterfly visit I have ever experienced, really. Of course, 90% of what the tour guide taught us, I have known them for years now and actually teaching them to kids. But what made the tour exciting was the tour guide himself. He never failed to make us laugh as he shared information about the butterflies. He was also a photographer-on-the-go for he would always volunteer to take our pictures. He was the best tour guide!

To complete your butterfly tour, do not fail to buy ice candies that they are selling. The main ingredients of the ice candies? Guess what. Of course, flowers! The ice candies were so milky with a twist of sweetness and yumminess! I wished I bought three pieces because one was not enough!
